Hilary Duff’s Wedding Cake

A big highlight in the Wedding World recently has been the marriage of Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie. With a stunning Vera Wang gown, plenty of roses, and a “warm and cozy” atmosphere, it really was a gem. My favorite part by far however, (her dress a close second) was the cake. A simple, “vintage home made”, elegant tiered cake… minus the frosting. Amidst an abundance of cookie-cutter weddings, this cake really stands out. A cake without frosting was a really nice touch and very unique, and perfectly matched the overall feel of the wedding. With the contrast of the soft pink roses, cream frosting and golden brown cake layers, I’m really in love.

I stumbled upon April Reed’s website, featuring all of her beautiful wedding cake designs, and fell in love! They are all so crisp and modern, the designs are just flawless.
