Eco Friendly Wedding FavorsThere are many ways you can make your wedding “Green”, the majority of which are also affordable. Giving Eco Friendly favors to your guests, for example, are not only a kind gift to the environment, but also your budget. These favors are unique, and they also give back to the environment, which is something you can’t say about many gifts. Here are just a few of the new and exciting Eco Friendly wedding favors available at David’s Bridal. The same name you trust for your wedding gown and stationary needs, now offers favors to help keep your wedding “Green”.

Biodegradable wedding poppers: one of the most well known, and most commonly practiced wedding traditions is showering the Newlyweds after the ceremony. The Bride and Groom will exit the ceremony and head off to the reception, but not without first being showered with rice or confetti. Many modern couples have chosen not to use rice, for various reasons, and have since replaced them with other options, the most popular being paper confetti. This is often shot out of a small “popper”, which leaves a mess that creates unnecessary waste, and harms the environment. However, now there are wedding poppers that have biodegradable confetti and streamers, offering all of the fun, without any of the negative impact. Give your guests these favors and keep your conscience guilt-free, with these “Green” wedding favors.

Blooming seed papers: these favors are a gift that keeps on giving, especially when it comes to giving back to the environment. Seed papers are composed of Eco Friendly fibers and flower seeds, which can be easily planted, and will result in beautiful blooming flowers. These papers come in a broad range of shapes, all available with instructions and a personalized message for your guests. Not only will they remember your wedding day, but they’ll also be easily reminded by the flowers these favors provide.

Flower seed favors: these personalized cards can include your names, wedding date, and a personalized message for your guests. The flower seeds include instructions on how to plant, and grow, this Eco and budget friendly wedding favor. Make your wedding truly “Green” with favors that not only protect the environment, but also give something back. There are plenty of generic wedding favors out there, but none more unique and worth while than the gift of nature.

Just For Guests

Dresses to wear to a WeddingIt’s likely that you’ll attend several weddings in your lifetime, often as a guest. Each wedding will be very unique, and depending on the atmosphere of both of the ceremony and reception, you’ll be expected to dress accordingly. These days, modern couples don’t put many restrictions on the attire of their guests. Many ceremonies are casual, and any semi-formal dress or outfit will do. However, there are a few occasions in which you might find certain attire will be more appropriate. For example, themed weddings, such as those taking place on a beach, might require a specific detail like sensible footwear. The venue can also be a good indicator as to the expectations of your outfit, as a more conservative or formal dress would be more suited to a cathedral or ballroom.

Many wedding guests choose to draw from their current wardrobe to find their outfit, while others may purchase a dress specifically for the occasion. There are many places to find appropriate dresses to wear to a wedding, no matter what the overall style of the ceremony and reception may be. You can shop at your favorite stores and still find the best look for the big day, without worrying about any restrictions. If you plan on purchasing a new ensemble, a good idea would be to make sure it’s something you could wear for other occasions. You can even pair it with a shoe you already own, and cut down on excessive expenses.

Wedding attire is predominately easier for those apart of the wedding party. For example, the mother of the bride or ring bearer might have a specific outfit designed for them, to match the palette of the ceremony. As a guest, you’ll only be expected to avoid the most obvious faux pas, and generally choose an outfit that suits the occasion. Bright colors, casual shoes, and fun accessories are all widely present in a modern wedding. The best advice for wedding guests would be to make sure you know what the bridesmaids, and wedding party, will be wearing and try to steer clear of choosing an outfit that looks too similar. Finding a selection to choose from won’t be hard, as many online shops such as Very.co.uk offer a broad range of attire to choose from. Getting the right outfit that suits the occasion, and your own personal style is easy when you utilize your online resources.

Unique Dessert Tables

Dessert tables are always a favorite of wedding guests. It’s a chance for the bride and groom to share something that they love with their friends and family, and the guests opportunity to fill up on sweets. There are many ways you can go about it, and the most popular one is a candy bar. But what else is out there besides an assortment of jelly beans or hard candy? Here are some unique ideas for dessert tables at your wedding reception!

Wedding Reception Dessert Table

Pink dessert table designed by Amy Atlas. Love the festive candied apples, cupcakes and truffles that all tie together to match a bold palette. The great thing about chocolates and other candies is that they can be decorated to match any theme.

Reception Dessert Table

Ice cream bar and coke float station, and Smores table found on Brides.com. How clever is this smores table? I love the candles and fondu utensils for the marshmallows, the apothecary jars are a great touch and perfect for presentation. The coke float table is also a great idea, it’s a nice way to mix up how your guests can use the ice cream: either make a sundae, or make a float! Love the vintage parlor glasses as well.

Creative Dessert Table Reception

Make your own sundae ice cream parlor found on Eat Drink Chic. I just adore this vintage setup with all the fixings for an amazing sundae. The presentation is just fantastic, and you can really make it work with any theme. After all, who doesn’t love a sundae? All these types of containers can be found at Ikea, which makes it a budget friendly idea also. It may look pricey, but you can do it yourself much cheaper.

Unique Wedding Guest Books

Using a creative alternative to the traditional guest book is a great way to make a statement, and tie in your theme and overall wedding style. There are a variety of DIY and creative substitutes for a book, here are some of the best I’ve found. This should be some instant inspiration for your own reception!

Check out this amazing thumb print tree guest book found on Green Wedding Shoes. How clever is that? Nothing is more unique than a fingerprint, and it’s a fun way to get your guests involved. This also makes for a really creative keepsake for all your wedding memories.

Creative Wedding Guest Book

I’ve never been more in love than when I saw this abstract, plexiglass shard, chandelier guest book found here. Guests could choose a piece and write their wishes for the newlyweds, and at night this chandelier was illuminated! Each shard is a different color, which makes for a bold and festive mobile that you would want hanging in your house forever. What a great way to keep memories!

Unique Wedding Guest Book

The antique typewriter used as a guest book is pretty common these days, but it doesn’t make it any less one of my ultimate favorites. I think its a great way to add a vintage touch, and contributes to your decor more than a simple, traditional book would. It’s also more fun for guests. I love the 1950s style colored ones, such as this one from here; they remind me of Cadillacs!
