Flapper Inspired Seattle Wedding

Although many couples look to escape the city for their big day, the city can still be an amazing backdrop, especially for stunning photography. Jen and Matt’s Seattle wedding is a perfect example; fun, roaring 20s inspired style and industrial cityscapes make for a unique and memorable look. I really love all of the flapper era inspired details that have their own modern twist, including the bride’s sequined sneakers, pinstriped suits, peacock feathers, pearls and bridesmaid’s outfits! Breath taking photography by the very talented Sarah Rhoads, check out her blog for more. Found via the amazing Love My Dress.

Sarah & Steve’s Vibrant Arizona Desert Wedding

Sarah Rhoads Photographers are an incredibly talented husband-wife duo working out of Seattle, WA, who shot the breath taking Arizona Desert wedding of Sarah and Steve. There’s nothing I love more than colorful succulents, and what a perfect choice they were for this wedding! Vibrant succulents being the focal point in both the (stunning!) bouquet and the reception centerpieces, it just goes to show, you don’t need a wedding in a garden to have a little color! 1930’s Old Hollywood Wedding

There’s nothing I love more than a vintage inspired wedding captured by a talented photographer. No matter what era you may draw your inspiration from, make the look and style of your wedding your own. Heather and Greg took their inspiration from a Midsummer’s Night Dream, fused with a little Western Frontier, and came out with a whole lot of charm. Romantic English Wedding in Devon

I really love Rosie Parsons’ photography, and this is yet another beautiful wedding she’s shot. Jess and Fred were married at the Great Barn in Higher Ashton, Devon, a stunning backdrop for a romantic ceremony. A combination of the quaint, 15th Century English stone cathedral, and the lush, outdoor surroundings makes for a unique and cozy atmosphere. It just goes to show, if you choose a location with a lot of character, you don’t need many details to create a beautiful and simplistic wedding. My absolute favorite is the photo with the vivid red leaves, such a picturesque image of an autumn wedding!

Hilary Duff’s Wedding Cake

A big highlight in the Wedding World recently has been the marriage of Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie. With a stunning Vera Wang gown, plenty of roses, and a “warm and cozy” atmosphere, it really was a gem. My favorite part by far however, (her dress a close second) was the cake. A simple, “vintage home made”, elegant tiered cake… minus the frosting. Amidst an abundance of cookie-cutter weddings, this cake really stands out. A cake without frosting was a really nice touch and very unique, and perfectly matched the overall feel of the wedding. With the contrast of the soft pink roses, cream frosting and golden brown cake layers, I’m really in love.

Kipp & Sommer’s Fireworks

When Diana, of Diana Ornes Photography, sent me these stunning photos of this epic wedding, I fell in love. The story she included along with it makes it even more romantic. Although Kipp and Sommer’s wedding day started off rainy and gloomy, it opened up to a picturesque rainbow, which was followed by an equally beautiful sunset. To complete the picture, the night ended with a firework show arranged by the groom for his bride. It was held on property owned by the father of the groom, and even had a pond with a paddle boat. I can’t think of a more beautiful backdrop! Check it out.
