I stumbled upon April Reed’s website, featuring all of her beautiful wedding cake designs, and fell in love! They are all so crisp and modern, the designs are just flawless. My favorite just might be the carnation cake; featuring hand made sugar carnations, vanilla bean cake with pecan butter! Such amazing texture, what a classic cake. I also can’t help but love the truffle cake, and the dot cake. Visit her site for even more beautiful designs.

The pale pink, cream, and muted rose colors are fantastic for vintage themes. Dusty rose in particular comes to mind. They may remind you of your grandma, but with the touch of specific elements, patterns, and bold statements, you can balance class and taste with rustic and retro. However, this theme may come off predominantly girly, but I think with the right elements, you can really make it more warm than feminine. A bold brown can easily be paired with scheme, which is perfect for the groom and keeps with the overall warmth of the palette.
